John W. Dawe, CFRE has been working with charitable organizations and nonprofit organizations since 2003. With extensive experience in technology integration and project management, the majority of his career has been in web-based development, fundraising, communications, marketing and strategic planning.
Dawe is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and an AFP Master Teacher.
Dawe has served amongst the volunteer leadership teams of some of the most prestigious organizations throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania and currently serves on the following:
- Chair, Professional Advancement & Immediate Past President, Association of Fundraising Professionals – NEPA Chapter (2010) (served as president 2008 & 2009)
- Chief Executive, NEPA Rainbow Alliance (since 2003)

From 2006 to 2009 Dawe served as Senior Project Manager, Manager of Information Systems, and Manager of Marketing Operations at Solid Cactus – an e-commerce and online marketing company. Dawe coordinated the company’s charitable giving and served as managing editor of the eBizInsider magazine, the eBizInsider.com website and the company blogs and forums.
Dawe is an alumnus of Mansfield University where he earned his degree in communications, information systems, and music. He studied choral conducting and pedagogy with Dr. Peggy Dettwiler, and organizational leadership with Dr. J. Dennis Murray. Dawe chaired the 2002 Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Student Media Conference.
Dawe is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Wilkes-Barre and received his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in 2009. He is also senior technology consultant for cds creative, inc. and has contributed professional articles to the Choral Journal, Practical eCommerce Magazine and Advancing Philanthropy.
